We are offering you a unique opportunity to go for a really huge trophy Taimen to the famous Uda River located in Khabarovsk Krai (the Far East region of Russia).
It is here in the Uda River that Alexander Zubarev caught taimen weighing 40 kilos (in the photo above).
During the same fishing the total number of taimen caught was 153 per 5 fishermen. The largest specimens were of 40, 30, 19 kilos. Though, some sad break-offs of extremely large taimens also happened.
We are inviting you to join our fishing expedition arranged together with Igor Olkhovsky, a well-known expert in taimen.
The trip takes place in September 21-29, 2018. The cost of the tour is 5 350 dollars per fisherman, provided that the group consists of 9 fishermen, a private flight Blagoveshchensk – Fevralsk – Blagoveshchensk, and a helicopter delivery to the river and back are included into the cost.
We tried hard to choose the best dates to catch a trophy specimen, the most comfortable ways of delivery and fishing. We are going to live in a camp with modern tents, and a dining room with an excellent cook. We’ll be fishing on comfortable boats equipped with jets, or on the rafts (depending of water level), which will allow us to spend the maximum amount of time in the best fishing spots.
In the autumn the taimen goes down to the deep pools and its habitat and feeding area are changed. That is why our guides will ship powerful boats with and fuel to the place of our future fishing beforehand, and they will set up a camp with modern camps. We have chosen the end of September not only because of the maximum activity of large taimens, but also because of the favorable weather conditions.
We’ll be moving by down the Uda River and the Shevli (its tributary), fishing in the most promising pits. This approach greatly increases the fishing efficiency and comfort in comparison. Both spinning rod fishing and fly fishing are possible, and the fishing teams will be formed taking into account the same fishing preferences.
These are the only possible dates for the season, as we have been arranging this tour for our clients who are, unfortunately, won’t be able to come this year.
Here is our detailed tour program:
We can arrange your stay in Moscow before and after fishing trip.
September 22. Arrival to Blagoveshchensk.
A flight to Fevralsk by a private Cessna plane, reloading into a helicopter Mi8 and a flight to the river.
It usually takes 8 hours to Fevralsk by car, and it is a serious test. It is practically impossible to get to Fevralsk and fly to the river in one day, as at that time the light day will be short enough. That is why we use a private plane.
The shipment to the Uda River (for about 1,5 hour). Accommodation in a tent camp, acquaintance with the guides. Tackle preparing. On request fishing in the camp neighborhood. Dinner.
September 23-28. Accommodation in a stationary camp. Modern tents. There is a tent-dining room and a tent-sauna in the camp.
Full board, 3 meals a day, the food prepared by an experienced cook.
6 full days of fishing for taimens, lenoks, graylings, pikes and other trophies.
Our main goal is to catch the maximum number of the trophy taimen. At this time, the taimen eats a lot before the freezing-over and is very active.
We’ll be moving down the river by 3 large water jet boats or rafts (depending of water level).
September 29. A flight to Fevralsk (for about 1,5 hour). A private flight to Blagoveshchensk. Flight home (or we can arrange your stay in Moscow).
We can arrange a similar trip for the next season of 2019, and we can also offer you the tours to other rivers of Khabarovki Krai and Yakutia where huge taimens can still be found (the Tugur, the Amgun, the Uchur and its tributes the Uyan, Tyrkan, as well as the Mulam, Idyum, Maimakan, and Maya), but you need to decide now. The best dates will have been sold out by November, 2018
